Laura has been around the horse world most all of her life.  In Missouri at six years old, Laura began riding and showing Saddlebreds. A couple of years later she began riding Hunter/Jumpers and Dressage and became a member of the Bridlespur Chapter of Pony Club.  As an adult, she continued to learn about horse care and stable management from seminars and clinics at the University Of Missouri Veterinary School and the Purina Mills Research Center.  Laura spent time managing her own barn, as well as other local barns, and teaching riding, jumping and basic dressage.  She served as Secretary of the Mississippi Valley Horse Show and Racing Assn. She worked on the planning committee for the development of the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show and the Meramec Valley Hunt Club.  When Richard, her husband, took a job that moved the family to Boston Laura took her horse to live at the Norfolk Hunt Club.  There she worked and rode with members of the Norfolk Hunt, Tanheath Hunt and NEDA.  A later move took the family to New Jersey where Laura and her daughter Rachel rode and showed locally. Now in Columbus Laura is combining her experience as a Registered Nurse and as an equestrian to have a facility where horse and rider combinations can achieve health and attain personal goals.

When the family moved to Columbus, Rachel attended a private, all-girl boarding school -The Andrews School in Mentor, OH. She continued her Hunter/Jumper career with her young horse and earned more division championships, and also roade on the IEA team which became nationally ranked.Rachel received her Bachelor's degree in Equine Administration from Otterbein College. Rachel's approach to teaching gives riders a thorough understanding of horsemanship and the fun of riding.
